COVID 19 Precautions at Longmont Yarn Shoppe  - updated October 3, 2022

Thank you to everyone who have been supportive & cooperative of the Longmont Yarn Shoppe protocols over the past 2 plus years.

For in person classes we are making a change & no longer requiring proof of vaccination status to participate in a class or private lesson.
With COVID 19 we have gone from a pandemic situation to an endemic situation.  Covid is with us for the foreseeable future, just like the flu. I fully support vaccinations and keeping boosted, but even those who are vaccinated and boosted will get breakthrough infections. The LYS staff have all chosen to maintain their vaccinated status and I applaud them for that.

For the safety of everyone we ask our customers/students, staff and teachers to stay home if sick. Anyone who wishes is encouraged to wear a mask if that makes being in the shop more comfortable.

For immunocompromised customers who would like a private shopping appointment before shop hours please reach out to the shop by phone: 303-678-8242 or by email:  to arrange a time. We are happy to support you.

Curbside pickup will continue and online shopping is always an option.

We appreciate your patronage. ~ Gail Sundberg-Douse, Owner - Longmont Yarn Shoppe

See What Our Friends are Saying

Sandi is an excellent teacher who spends time making sure each student understands all concepts and has time to ask questions. Do not cast on before going to the first class! You will learn information that first night you will want to incorporate. Sandi is also willing to answer questions via text or email and is so helpful if you drop by the Shoppe with any issue/question you may have. This class has truly been an exceptional value when I see what I've accomplished and learned. You will come away with new confidence and knowing that you can now enjoy making sweaters on your own for yourself and others and have the knowledge to customize the fit!"

When I saw the Custom Class being offered at LYS, I thought, 'this is my chance to not only make a sweater, but make a sweater that might actually fit.' Being a self-taught knitter, Sandi taught me tips, gave great advice, and guess what gang... I have a sweater that fits, and I can proudly wear... And I love knitting! I recommend this class to anyone, but especially someone who is unsure of their ability to create a sweater. Sandi has lots of patience and gives one the encouragement to overcome the doubt that you, too, can make something from start to finish.”

Kris is a knowledgeable, patient and fun teacher. We are all very pleased with our clogs, and will certainly be scheduling another class—I think socks are next!"
