Your Class, Your Way

We love to teach at LYS, and we hope we've created the perfect list of class choices for you. But, we know how busy life can be. That’s why we offer "Your Class, Your Way" at Longmont Yarn Shoppe.

Maybe you see the perfect class, but it’s not offered at the right time for you. Or there's a project you’ve always wanted to make, but the class was offered last month and you missed it! Relax.

Gather three friends, speak with a member of our staff, and we’ll work to arrange for a qualified instructor to teach your perfect class, your way!

Our private lessons are ideal if you prefer to work one-on-one, have a hectic schedule or need a refresher. If you have a specific project you'd like some extra help with, come see us.

or stop by soon to schedule your lesson.

A note about Class, CLUB, CAL, & KAL materials. We ask that students purchase their yarn for the class or CAL/KAL, Club at LYS for the programs we offer.

There are 2 main reasons for this:

  1.   We recommend yarn we know you will have success with. Learning a new skill is much more rewarding using the proper tools and resources. When students use materials other than what is suggested we can't assure your success.
  2.   Frankly, we exist only with your support. We need our community to shop with us so we can be here for the long haul. We bring in additional inventory to support classes, in anticipation of student purchases.

Hear what Anne had to say about her class

"Three friends and I arranged for our own personal felted clog class with Kris at Longmont Yarn Shoppe. It was great for many reasons! First, we were able to get so much personal attention. Kris is a knowledgeable, patient and fun teacher. We are all very pleased with our clogs, and will certainly be scheduling another class—I think socks are next!"

FULL- Contiguous Sleeve Sweater Knitting with Isabell Kraemer via ZOOM!

Join us as we welcome our favorite knitwear designer, Isabell Kraemer, to Longmont Yarn Shoppe via Zoom for a classroom experience in knitting a contiguous set in sleeve sweater! Isabell will talk about contiguous sleeve sweater construction in general, talk about possible yarn choices and then dive into the construction a bit deeper, to find the spots where adjustments could be made. Students would then be able to choose their yarn and get started (swatching), spotting the parts where they may have to adjust the pattern and such until we 'meet' the next time.
