Hear what Anne had to say about her class

"Three friends and I arranged for our own personal felted clog class with Kris at Longmont Yarn Shoppe. It was great for many reasons! First, we were able to get so much personal attention. Kris is a knowledgeable, patient and fun teacher. We are all very pleased with our clogs, and will certainly be scheduling another class—I think socks are next!"

The World of ARNE & CARLOS
- Oct 01, 2019 06:00 pm

Scandinavian design superstars ARNE & CARLOS have gained a passionate international following, not only through their work with well-known names such as Comme de Garcons, Urban Outfitters, Dale of Norway, Regia and Rowan but also their nine bestselling instructional books and numerous online tutorials. It is in their books and videos that we are warmly welcomed in to their vibrant, colouful, creative world which is based in a renovated train station in the Valdres region of Norway, north of Oslo. Here we see glimpses of the eclectic collections of memorabilia, the rich variety of materials and patterns, the natural elements outside and homey comforts of inside that spark their ever-active imaginations. These are the sources or their hugely popular handcraft designs, which reflect their enthusiasm for finding new ways to value the old , as well as their commitment to developing innovative ideas that are wholly their own. In this engaging lecture, ARNE & CARLOS speak frankly about the way they live, and how everyone of us can be inspired by the everyday things that surround us. Learn how to create fabulous, unique knitting and crochet designs as well as other projects using their unique lifestyle techniques and walk away feeling energized and finally ready to bring your own original ideas to life. Embroidery for Beginners

This class is great for beginners or anyone wanting to dust off their embroidery skills. In class, you will create a sampler using eight stitches found in the CozyBlue embroidery kits available in the store. We will go over embroidery basics and you'll learn the back stitch, split stitch, stem stitch, chain stitch, satin stitch, fishbone, woven wheels and French and colonial knots. You will leave with your sampler and the skills to finish your kit at home.

Spiraling Stripes Crochet Hat

Striped hats are a great way to use up smaller balls of yarn in your stash, but how can you work them without lots of color changes and ends to weave in? The answer is crocheting in spiraling continuous rounds. Spirals are fun to make and a great way to create seamless fabric, which is perfect for a stretchy comfy hat.
