A note about Class, CLUB, CAL, & KAL materials. We require student to purchase their yarn for all classes, Crochet-alongs, Knit-alongs & Clubs at Longmont Yarn Shoppe. There are 2 main reasons for this:
- We recommend yarn we know you will have success with. Learning a new skill is much more rewarding using the proper tools and resources. When students use materials other than what is suggested we can't assure your success.
- Frankly, we exist only with your support. We need our community to shop with us so we can be here for the long haul. We bring in additional inventory to support classes, in anticipation of student purchases.

Mary Ann will be sharing the healing aspects of knitting and crocheting. The class will cover gentle hand and shoulder movements to relax the muscles we use most. We'll explore knitting and crocheting as a form of meditation incorporating the sounds of the Tibetan singing bowls. This is a three session series, with each session building upon the previous learning. Taking all three sessions is ideal, but not required to appreciate the benefits of meditation guided by Mary Ann.
Cost: $ 25.00

In this class we will explore how yarns are made, while taking a deep dive into yarn structures. Yarn structure dictates how a yarn works up, as well as it's durability, drape, gauge, and character. A yarn's structure determines the most appropriate use for each yarn, whether that is colour work, cables, texture, lace and more: it is is a key element in many types of projects in knitting, crochet, weaving and more! Choosing the right structure of yarn for the project makes the difference between a successful project you can use for many years and a project that disappoints. Once you've completed this class, you'll be able to choose the right structure for each project!
