Cliffhouse Cowl



Inspired by the amazing alcoves of the Mesa Verde National Park, this cowl uses X-stitches and varying stitch heights to create a cozy fabric perfect for keeping warm when temperatures drop. Students will be taught how to get their cowl started, tips for making the X-stitch and changing colors without a noticeable join.

Materials:

Yarn – worsted weight in 2 colors with good contrast.

Malabrigo Rios

Farmers Daughter Fibers – Squish Worsted

Berroco Ultra Wool

Crochet hooks – Size K (6.5 mm) and J (6 mm)

Locking Stitch markers in 2 colors

Blunt Yarn Needle for weaving in ends


Skill Level: intermediate
Skill Details: Student should be comfortable with making chain, slip st, single crochet, half double and double crochet stitches, reading stitches and fabric.
