Continuing with what we learned Color Workshop Part 1, we will work with stitch patterns and shapes that show off spectacular multi-colors skeins! This class cover fearless color combining, innovative ways to work with 2+ skeins of handpaints, and more, focusing on shawls, scarves, & socks.
Participants will learn to visualize how a hand-painted skeins will knit up; how to work with long & short color repeats; how to work with stitches that avoid unsightly pooling. We’ll practice several stitch patterns that show off handpaints, including chevron, feather & fan, mitered square, and linen stitch. Participants will leave with confidence to create unique knitwear!
This class is designed for relatively proficient knitters; you should know how to knit, purl, yarnover, double decrease. Please bring 1-2 (or more) skeins of handprinted yarn that you are wondering what to do with, straight or double point needles, sizes 5,6; notions bag with the usual tools.
