Rigid Heddle 1 VIA ZOOM!

If you have always wanted to learn how to weave but have been nervous to take the plunge this is the class for you! The rigid heddle loom is a small but mighty tool for weaving. This class will go over the ins and outs of setting up the loom as well as a variety of different weave structures. Students will learn plain weave as well as how to use a pick up stick. No prior weaving experience is needed but at the end of three weeks you will be weaving away!

Supplies: Rigid heddle loom, 10 dent heddle, heddle hook, peg, craft paper or corrugated cardboard for winding onto the loom, scissors, ruler or measuring tape, pick up stick, stick shuttle

Recommended yarn: Brown Sheep Nature Spun sport weight wool. 2 colors (or 3 if you want to see more color interactions) 2 balls will be enough for class.

ZOOM LINK will be sent the day prior to class. If you do not see your link please check your spam filter.  Students should have a PC, tablet or laptop to participate fully, and having a 2nd device like a Phone to Log In to Zoom is helpful as well.

Longmont Yarn Shoppe rents Rigid Heddle Looms for students who need them for this class.  The cost of rental is 30.00.  Looms must be returned 48 hours after the last session.
