Needle Felt Chickens with Stephanie
Learn the art of sculptural needle felting and create a pair of fuzzy felted Chickens. Stephanie will guide you step by step on the craft of Needle Felting. You will make a cute little pair chicks while learning the basics of Needle Felting.
Bonus in this class: Learn the beginnings of inserting and armature with felt to make their cute little feet!!
Materials Needed for class- OBTAIN PRIOR to class.
- WoolPets Chickens Felting Kit - kits include felting needles, wool roving, and step-by-step photo instructions.
- Students are invited to bring in their own foam felting surface and felting tools.
LYS will provide a foam felting surface for you to use during class should you need it.

| Instructor Bio: | Stephanie Flynn Sokolov is a fiber fanatic experienced in teaching and motivating students in many fiber arts. She has a diverse expert background including spinning, weaving, knitting, felting, and dying. Her interest in learning about fiber arts started at a very young age, she trained in Accessory Design at the Fashion Institute Of Technology, and continues expanding her expertise by seeking out the best in the industry. Stephanie co-authored the book Woven Scarves: 26 Inspired designs for the Rigid Heddle Loom with Jane Patrick. Her other projects can be found in Spin-Off Magazine, The Weavers Idea book by Jane Patrick, and she also Co-authors Yearning to Weave and Spin (a Schacht Spindle publication). All students are sure to find inspiration in any class she teaches. She loves to spread her contagious enthusiasm for spinning with everyone she meets, and is so fun to be around! |
