Short Row Study at FIBER FRIDAY with Alissa Barton via ZOOM!
Join us for an exploration of at least 5 ways to work short rows. Short rows are a great way to add shaping into your garment without adding length to the whole thing, think for gracefully shaped shawls, added length to cover problem areas in sweaters, turning heels and so much more! We won’t be making a particular project, just some samples for your reference later.
Our study will take us on a journey of exploration to try out at least 5 different ways to add shaping into our knitting. Many times people know of short rows only from socks, but they are so much more than that! You can use short rows to add shape to sweaters for a better fit, flair into skirts and grace into shawls. In fact, there is just so much to do we are going to take two hours to do it.
Materials Needed:
US #8 or 9 needles (any type)
Light colored worsted weight yarn
Locking Stitch Markers
Size H Crochet hook
Scissors
