Beginner Brioche at FIBER FRIDAY with Carissa Browning via ZOOM!
Get ready to dive into one of the hottest trends in knitting: brioche! Its extra squishy, reversible nature makes this a versatile technique to have in your toolbox. Start slow with basic 2-color brioche ribbing in the round. Then find out the differences when working brioche flat in rows.
Materials: 100 yards each of 2 contrasting colors of bulky yarn, US10/6mm circular needles (16 inches long or shorter), 1 stitch marker
Prerequisites: Knit, purl, working flat & in the round
This is a a LIVE ZOOM event. Your ZOOM link and any handouts from the instructor will be emailed to you the evening before class. If you do not see the link please check your spam filter.
Class Start Time: 6PM Eastern, 5PM Central, 4PM MTN, 3 PM Pacific
Skill Level: | Beginner |
Skill Details: | This is for the advanced beginner student who knows how to knit, purl, cast on and knit in the round. |
Instructor: | Carissa Browning |
Instructor Bio: | Carissa lives and knits in the Dallas, Texas area, where she has accepted the futility of stitching cozy woolen sweaters and has perhaps overcompensated with a three-month supply of hand knit socks. With a background in math, she particularly enjoys playing with geometry and developing new methods of constructing familiar shapes and patterns using knitted or crocheted fabric. |
