Tapestry Weaving with David Johnson via Zoom and In-Person - HYBRID Format

This class will be offered in a hybrid format, meaning that students can choose to participate in person at Longmont Yarn Shoppe or via Zoom. Please make a note in your registration about how you plan to attend. A non-downloadable recording of each class will session will be sent to students within 24 hours of the class to review for 1 week after receiving it.
The sample photo is an example of David's work (not the class project). Students will create their own design after learning the techniques.

Loom and Yarn Kit (included in your tuition):

Delivery of kit: Please make a note in your registration whether you will attend in-person and pick up your kit from the Shoppe or on the first day of class - or if you will attend via Zoom and need to have your kit shipped to you. Please allow 1-2 weeks for shipping.

Students must provide:
Scissors
Computer or electronic tablet (I-Pad or other) for logging into Zoom for the class (a cell phone's screen size is insufficient for effective learning).
Optional - but very helpful - a cell phone to allow for a second login to Zoom in order to share progress with the teacher.

Each class is 3 hours long, including a break. Class sessions begin at:

Instructor Bio: | David Johnson is a tapestry weaver with extensive professional experience employed at the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts as well as the Appalachian Center for Craft. More recently, David has taught for the Tucson Weavers Guild as well as the Intermountain Weavers Conference in Durango, Colorado. Upcoming workshops include The Weavers Guild of Rochester, New York, and the Sedona Weavers in Arizona. In 2021, he collaborated with the Spanish Peaks Tapestry Weavers in presenting "Crossovers in Tapestry: a Southwest Conference" in Pueblo, Colorado. David is currently president of the Rocky Mountain Weavers Guild. |
