CLOSED -Crochet Slippers 101 VIA ZOOM!

Slippers are a wonderful quick project that are perfect gifts for the holidays or anytime. Wooly warm slippers are especially welcome as the cold weather rolls in.The One Skein Joy Slippers were designed to introduce intermediate (or intrepid beginner) crocheters to the construction of a simple U.S. women’s size 8 slipper (also fits Youth size 5.5). A pair of slippers can easily be made from 200 yards of worsted weight yarn. Each slipper is worked without cutting the yarn, leaving just 2 tails to weave in at the end.

In class you’ll learn the tricks for completing your slippers without tears, crocheting 2 at a time, a handy elastic crochet ribbing, and some fun tips for personalizing your slippers as well.

200+ yards of worsted weight superwash wool. Yarn should be in lighter colors to make it easy to see and count stitches.

Crochet Hooks size G, H, 7, & I (3.5 mm - 5.5 mm)

Locking stitch markers in at least 2 colors.

Recommended Shop Yarns: Berroco Ultra Wool Worsted, Encore Worsted, Sun Valley Merino Worsted

Pattern needs to be purchased on Ravelry prior to class.
One Skein Joy Slipper pattern will be available for purchase after July 27th in my Ravelry Shop, or students can find it in the December 2019 back-issue of “I Like Crochet” online (this requires a subscription). The version from my shop contains st charts and photo tutorials, the magazine version does not.
