Coiled Vessels: Level 2

This level 2 coiled weaving class will include how to splice and weave in LED lights and how to make handles and incorporate beads and other embellishments into a small to medium size vessel.  How to make lids will also be discussed in this class.  

HOMEWORK prior to class:   Weave a 4 inch diameter "start" (bottom) of a vessel.

10 yards of Fiber Flex core
Large tapestry needle
Glue - suggested is Aleene's Original Tacky Glue.  You can buy it at Target, JoAnne's, Michael's, McGuckins.
Scissors
2 colors of worsted wt wool yarn, at least 2 ply - (2-ply is best because of strength.  More than 2-ply gets a little bulky and hard to make smooth stitches)
Mary took a walk in the LYS worsted wt dept and suggested these yarns for basket making:  Painted Sky, Malabrigo Rios, Sesame by Berocco, Grande Alegria and Alegria Bocados, Ultra Wool and Shepherds Wool.
