Spaced and Crammed Scarf

Come learn to weave a spaced and crammed scarf using Jaggerspun Zephyr, a super soft and drapey yarn. If lace weight yarns are always catching your eye but you aren’t sure how to incorporate them into your rigid heddle weaving without using two heddles this is the class for you. Learn a new technique for plain weave using just one heddle that will make using lace weight yarns fun and accessible. This scarf plays with texture by cramming many ends into one slot and  is a great way to practice plain weave with thin yarns. In class we will also go over twisted fringe and you will walk away with a light, airy, beautiful scarf!

Supplies: Rigid heddle loom 15” or more, stick shuttle, 12 dent heddle, heddle hook, scissors, paper or corrugated cardboard for winding onto loom, warping peg.

Yarn: 2 skeins of Jaggerspun Zephyr - pick two colors, one skein of each

Pattern will be provided by instructor on the first day of class

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: All levels are welcome but prior weaving experience on Rigid Heddle Loom is required.
Instructor: Sara Goldenberg White
