Mind Body Skills Introductory Course - VIA ZOOM!!

An introduction to two timely mind body skills: soft belly breathing and mindful eating, to help with holiday and winter stress and to bring more calm and enjoyment to your holiday experience. We will learn about the nervous system, and how to easily bring our minds and bodies into the present moment to nurture increased awareness, relaxation and enjoyment. $20 fee, but no one will be turned away due to financial concerns. Call the LYS to register if you need to make use of the sliding scale and let them know what you need to pay, down to $0.

Your zoom link will be sent to you the evening before.  If you do not see it, check your spam filter.  

Please bring to class a morsel of food as part of an exercise.  It can be dark chocolate, a date, or a piece of fresh fruit like a strawberry.

Skill Details:
Instructor: Dr. Kristin van Konynenburg, MD
Instructor Bio: Dr. Kristin van Konynenburg, MD is a local Family Physician who provides primary care with a holistic approach. She is certified in Mind Body Medicine through the Center for Mind Body Medicine, and has been teaching these skills to her patients for almost a decade. She also facilitates Mind Body Skills Groups that meet for two hours weekly for ten weeks. Kristin is also a mother and an avid knitter, and she loves that knitting has been shown to decrease blood pressure and heart rate as effectively as yoga and meditation!
