Year of the Tiger Mitts KAL via ZOOM
Join Donna and cast on some great mitts to celebrate 2022- the Year of the Tiger! Enjoy being in community with others who love color-work at this KAL! Choose from 2 ARNE & CARLOS designs: Tiger Stripes or Tiger Mittens - either one will have you in style for the year and beyond!
Materials:
Pattern for Tiger Stripes or TIger Mittens - purchase directly from the ARNE & CARLOS website.
Yarn: Norwegian Wool by Rowan - refer to pattern for yardage requirements
Needles: Choose needles based on your desired size of finished mittens.
Small Mittens:
Gauge: 27 sts and 31 rows in stockinette on needles 3 mm = 4 in / 10 cm. Adjust needle sizes to obtain correct gauge if necessary.Needles: A set of 5 dpns size 2.5 mm for ribbing and 3.0 mm for stockinette / U.S. size 1 or 2 for ribbing and U.S. sizes 2 or 3 for stockinette.
Large Mittens:
Needles: A set of 5 dpns size 3.0 mm for the ribbing and 3.5 mm for stockinette / U.S. 2 or 3 for the ribbing and U.S. 4 for stockinetteGauge: 24 sts and 28 rows in stockinette on ndls 3.5 mm / U.S 4 = 10 cm /4 in cm. Adjust needle sizes to obtain correct gauge if necessary
