Easy Knits for Baby: Knit a Hat (in person)

This class is a perfect way to continue building your beginner knitting skills while making an adorable hat for the new tiny people in your lives, or to go to your favorite newborn charity. This project gives you a choice of either “ears“ or cute button flaps.

This is part of a series of classes that kicked off in October.  Sign up for all three "Easy Knits for Baby" classes or sign up for only one or two. Those who sign up for all three will be gifted with a 20.00 Gift Certificate to LYS after the 3rd session!

There is HOMEWORK prior to the first class:  Cast on 80 stitches onto your smaller needles and begin knitting in the round. 

Materials:

1 skein of sport or DK wt yarn such as Arroyo (sport) Suzette (sport) Feliz (sport)  Bamboo Pop Solids (DK) or Bamboo Pop Multis (DK) or Ultra Wool DK  or Vintage DK or Wool Pop (DK)  Choosing yarn that is a lighter color will make it easier to see your stitches. 

Needles: US 4 (DK) or US 3 (Sport) 16 inch circular needles 
Stitch Marker
2 buttons if you are making button flaps
