Join Darla and Mark from Warp and Woolens to discover your Spinning Superpower by making the perfect yarn for your knitting, crochet or weaving project! This is the second class of a four-part series.
Each class segment is independent, but they are better taken as a series.
We will explore fiber prep techniques, including combing, carding, flicking, and drum carding. We will then demonstrate and practice worsted and woolen spinning techniques.
Homework:
Come to class with a knitting, crochet, or weaving project consistent with student’s skillsClass materials:
Bring combs, cards, or flicks if you have them (Combs, carders and flicks will be provided by instructors for students to try during class).
Students can bring their own fiber or purchase fiber braids at the class from the shop. The fiber choice will be dependent upon the student's goal for their project. Estimated class fee for purchasing fiber from the instructors is $15.00/student.
If you bring fleece it must be cleaned and ready to prep for spinning (no raw fleece please)
