Spinning with Intention: Plying
Join Darla and Mark from Warp and Woolens to discover your Spinning Superpower making the perfect yarn for your knitting, crochet or weaving project! This is the fourth class of a four-part series. Each class is independent but they are better taken as a series.
Taking yarn singles you have created, we will explore how to choose plying techniques to finish your yarn. We will practice traditional multi-bobbin plying, chain plying, Andean plying and 2x2 cable plying.
Pre-work and materials to bring to class:
1 -2 oz of fiber spun by the student as a single for plying
Spinning wheel or drop spindle
Spare bobbin or spindle
Lazy Kate (optional)
