Join Master Yarn Dyer Jennifer Miller in this workshop designed for both pleasure and profit! Discover the art and science of yarn dyeing and the fiber business like never before in this hands-on experience.

Get ready to:
  • Thrill in the experience of color on fiber
  • Unlock your creativity and develop your own inspiration
  • Learn to mix colors and dye yarn in wool and wool blends using acid dyes
  • Practice special effects like resists, dip dyeing, and speckling
  • Access information sources, supplies, and equipment
  • Learn the basics of the yarn dyeing business 
With 3 -  2.5 hour sessions covering both theory and practice, this workshop includes all the supplies and yarn needed to create your own masterpieces. But hurry, enrollment is limited to only 6 participants!  All you need to do is register to secure your seat! 
Get ready to ignite your passion for yarn dyeing and start your journey to becoming a master yourself, whether for personal pleasure or to launch your career a yarn dyer!

Materials: 

Come to class with an old t-shirt or apron and a micro-point sharpie of your favorite color. 

Yarn & dye is provided for instruction in class. Students will leave with their own yarn dyeing supply kit and literature to continue dyeing in the future if they choose but does not include yarn and dye.

Instructor: Jennifer Miller
Instructor Bio: Jennifer brings her background in marketing, psychology, counseling, art history, science, and metaphysics to the knitting classroom. A yarn and color designer, Jennifer is the creator of Theodora?s Pearls, nationally-known handpainted and hand-dyed yarns, featuring unusual and luxury fibers. Jennifer is dedicated to promoting creative confidence in every knitter, enhancing knitting skills, and encouraging new and innovative experimentation in yarn! A self-taught artist, sourcing inspiration from the natural world, folk art, and historical textiles, she shares her own creative journey as an example of how you can express yourself through fiber, creating beauty, harmony, and functionality. Jennifer teaches at local yarn shops & appears regularly at fiber festivals and yarn shops around the country. She is happy to call Longmont her home base and LYS!!
