Double Weave on the Rigid Heddle Loom

Learn how to maximize the potential of your rigid heddle weaving by using two heddles at once!
In this class students will learn how to weave two layers of cloth at the same time to create a closed tube as well as double width fabric. If you are looking to weave wider pieces, double weave will open that door allowing weavers to create pieces twice the width of their loom!
This class will also cover using two heddles to accommodate thin yarns and obtain a sett of 20-24 ends per inch as well as a basic introduction to twill patterns!
Supplies:
10 or wider Rigid heddle loom with the ability to hold two heddles
2 ten dent heddles (one can be a variable dent heddle using only the 10 dent sections)
Please notify us ASAP if you need a 2nd reed so we can order it if we don't have it in stock.
2 stick shuttles
2 pick up sticks
Warping peg
Ruler
Scissors
Paper or corrugated cardboard for winding onto the back of the loom
Heddle hook
Yarn recommendation:
Two colors of 5/2 cotton (roughly 300 yards of each)
1 color of 3/2 cotton (roughly 150 yards)
