Afraid to tackle that sweater alone? We have the answer: Sweater Club! 2 months of community, 4 gatherings on ZOOM, 1 sweater, lots of fun lead by Sandi Avila, an amazing sweater knitter!! This designer from Denmark loves to create sweaters that can be added to any wardrobe with a flair for simplicity. Her patterns are
well written; any novice knitter would feel comfortable working through the selected garment. She likes experimenting with holding
a yarn together with kid silk mohair which adds warmth and softness.
This is a KAL, not a class delivered via Zoom. Sweater club meets from 6-8 eastern, 5-7 central, 4-6 mountain and 3-5 pacific on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month. Meetings are not recorded. We need a minimum of 5 participants to run this session.

| Instructor Bio: | I was born in Greenwich, Connecticut and moved to Boulder in 1975 and have never ventured too far from here. I enjoy living where you can appreciate the outdoors year-round and knit in every season. During a month-long visit, my German grandmother taught me to knit, that was 40+ years ago. I have been knitting non-stop ever since, I always have something brewing on the needles. I continued my journey in knitting and found my true passion was knitting sweaters. I really enjoy the evolution of a sweater more than any other project. I am excited to be an instructor as I love to share my passion with others and help them dispel the fear of a fitted garment. As an added bonus, I found a husband who encourages my knitting habit; he ventures with me to knit shops when we are traveling, its always on the itinerary. It was in the last 10 years that I found my knitting clan at Longmont Yarn Shoppe and love the sharing, encouragement and support we bring to each other. It is a wonderful community to be a part of. |
