FIBER FRIDAY Overview of Six Sweater Construction Types with Ann Budd VIA ZOOM!

Sweaters are characterized by the way the sleeves are joined to the body. In this one-hour class you’ll learn the basics of six sweater types—Circular Yoke, Raglan, Drop Shoulder, Modified-Drop Shoulder, Set-In Sleeve, and Saddle Shoulder.
From the simplest boxy shape to the most tailored silhouette, the construction type influences how a sweater fits the body. Each type lends itself to distinct design possibilities, whether knitted from the bottom up (as in The Knitter’s Handy Book of Sweater Patterns) or from the top down (as in The Knitter’s Handy Book of Top-Down Sweaters), and whether knitted in pieces or seamlessly.
You’ll leave class with a better understanding of how sweater design is closely tied to sweater construction.
This is a Live One Time Zoom event at 6 Eastern, 5 Central, 4 Mountain, 3 Pacific
