FIBER FRIDAY The Amazing Art of Slip Stitch Knitting with Faina Goberstein VIA ZOOM!
This class will take you on a tour of all four groups of interesting and creative slip stitch patterns. You will make swatches to learn different slip-stitch techniques to appreciate their full range and usage. Mosaic patterns belong to one of the groups, and we will see what is special about them. Taking this class will inspire you to use traditional, combination, woven, and reversible slip-stitch patterns with contemporary colors and yarns to create your own masterpiece.
This is a Live One Time Zoom event at 6 Eastern, 5 Central, 4 Mountain, 3 Pacific

Supplies Students Must Bring: 3 different colors of worsted-weight, solid-colored yarn and suitable-size circular needles.
Homework: No homework.

| Instructor Bio: | A knitter, teacher, author, and long-time designer, Faina Goberstein fell in love with knitting from the time she made a first knit stitch as a child. Knitting has been tightly entwined with anything that she encountered in her life. Most of all she enjoys the process of creating a beautiful and interesting texture that is later applied to a design in most flattering way. Faina’s interest in a wide assortment of knitting techniques and stitch patterns that lead to unusual and interesting textures is evident in her designs and topics of her inspirational classes. Faina is the author of Fresh Slipstitch (Ravelry.com) and the co-author of The Art of Slip Stitch Knitting (2015) and The Art of Seamless Knitting (2013) published by Interweave Press. Her designs often appear in internationally recognized magazines such as Rowan, Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Cast-On and in numerous books. Faina is best known for her elegant and well-fitted classic designs. Faina teaches live at various events around the country and abroad, virtually for Vogue Knitting, Rowan Connect, guilds, and other venues.
