Granny Square Basics Crochet W/Andee (In Person)

If you are comfortable with crocheting chains and the double crochet stitch you are ready to crochet Granny Squares.  In this class with Andee, you will learn how to crochet the classic granny square as well as modifications to the granny square pattern for more drape in your project.  We will cover 2 methods of joining a new color at the beginning of a round including standing stitches, invisible joins for the last round of a square, easy ways to weave in all those tails and working multiple rounds in one color.

Materials
Print out or bring E-version of pattern 

Yarn: Smooth Worsted Weight Yarn in 2 colors, medium or light colors are best. Approximately 80 yards in each color. This will give you enough yarn to make 9 squares. Either Berroco Ultra Wool or Vintage DK in light or medium colors.
Crochet Hook: size H/5 mm or I/5.5 mm or (J/6 mm if a tight crocheter)
*4 locking stitch markers
*Blunt darning or tapestry needle

Cancellation Policy for LYS Classes 

DISCLAIMER: Class may be cancelled if less than 3 students are enrolled. 

If LYS cancels the class, payment for your class will be refunded in full or can be transferred to another upcoming class. If we do need to cancel your class for low enrollment, the decision will be made 24 hours in advance and students will be notified by phone and/or email. 

Class may also be cancelled for inclement weather or instructor illness. Students will be notified by phone if this happens and can attend the rescheduled class or have their class fee returned 100%.

Refund Policy for LYS Classes 

If you need to return your class enrollment for a refund for any reason, we completely understand! Sometimes things pop up and life gets in the way of our crafting. 

See the time table below for eligible refunds on LYS classes: 

• At least 72 hours prior notice — 100% refund 

• 24 - 72 hours prior notice — 50% refund for store credit 

• Less than 24 hours prior notice — Not eligible for a refund. 

Student no-shows are also not eligible for a refund.
