Fiber Friday! Texture is the New Black (ZOOM)

"Ever since someone long ago picked up two sticks and some string and knit the first loops, people have been dreaming up new ways to create textured knits. There are literally thousands of ways to create texture in knitting; these are a few of my favorites.
I have broken them down into seven categories because I think it’s the best way to teach you the basic skills necessary to tackle other stitches. For instance, once you’ve seen one cluster stitch pattern, you probably won’t be reluctant to try another version. My goal is for you to see these seven categories as a jumping off point. I hope you will leave here with the confidence to accept new textured knitting pattern challenges.
You’ll notice that some extremely common texture categories, cables, lace, and brioche, are missing. That’s intentional. These could each fill a separate class on their own, and I wanted to explore some other techniques that maybe aren’t quite as familiar" - Dawn Barker
