Inkle Pick-Up Techniques

Description:  After you have learned how to set up an Inkle loom and read a pattern, what’s the next step?  Pickup!  In this one day class we will learn Pick up techniques so you can make wonderful designs on your Inkle bands.  There are several styles of Pick up.   We will learn one in this class with a simple set up.  There will be examples of some of the other styles and patterns available in class if you want to try those in class or on your own.  If there is time we will talk about some other embellishment techniques. 

Materials: Inkle loom, stick shuttle, 3-4 oz. of 3/2 Pearl Cotton in two contrasting colors, 3-4 popsicle sticks, a colored pencil, 1-2 sheets of graph paper, scissors, note taking materials.
