Full/Closed: Intro to Colorwork (In Person) W/Christie

Knitters should have basic skill with knit and purl stitches, be able to increase and decrease, read a pattern, and knit in the round.  By the end of the session students will be able to complete this beautiful hat. Class will start with a colorwork discussion and reading charts and how to choose yarn well suited to colorwork.

Homework: If you are also taking the Latvian Braid Class, there is no homework.  If you are NOT taking the Latvian Braid Class, you need to cast on and knit rounds 1-3, or skip the braid and just cast on prior to class. 

Materials: 2 contrasting colors of sport weight or DK yarn.  Edition 3 is a good choice for the self striping flowers.  Vintage can be used for the solid color choice to outline the flowers.

Needles: 16 inch circular, size 3-5

Cancellation Policy for LYS Classes 

DISCLAIMER: Class may be cancelled if less than 3 students are enrolled. 

If LYS cancels the class, payment for your class will be refunded in full or can be transferred to another upcoming class. If we do need to cancel your class for low enrollment, the decision will be made 24 hours in advance and students will be notified by phone and/or email. 

Class may also be cancelled for inclement weather or instructor illness. Students will be notified by phone if this happens and can attend the rescheduled class or have their class fee returned 100%.

Refund Policy for LYS Classes 

If you need to return your class enrollment for a refund for any reason, we completely understand! Sometimes things pop up and life gets in the way of our crafting. 

See the time table below for eligible refunds on LYS classes: 

• At least 72 hours prior notice — 100% refund 

• 24 - 72 hours prior notice — 50% refund for store credit 

• Less than 24 hours prior notice — Not eligible for a refund.
