Crochet a Cute Lil Turtle (In Person)

Turtles are a symbol of Prosperity, Persistance, Protection, Wisdom, Good Fortune and Peace in many cultures across the globe. This cute little turtle can be a toy or a fun little decoration for your shelf. It is crocheted in 2 pieces. First piece is the body where the tail, legs and head are worked along with the second round. The second piece is the shell, which is crocheted to the body during the fourth round.

In class you will learn all the skills you need to successfully follow the pattern to make your own turtle. Those skills include working the adjustable slip knot start, cluster stitches for the head and legs, slip stitching your turtle shell to the body, and reading the stitch chart in the pattern. You will leave class with the skills to crochet a whole herd of turtles of your own.

Materials Needed: 2 different colors of smooth worsted weight yarn, approximately 3 yards of each for 1 turtle; handful of fiberfill stuffing; at least 4 locking stitch markers. Size G and H Crochet Hooks

Cancellation Policy for LYS Classes 

DISCLAIMER: Class may be cancelled if less than 3 students are enrolled. 

If LYS cancels the class, payment for your class will be refunded in full or can be transferred to another upcoming class. If we do need to cancel your class for low enrollment, the decision will be made 24 hours in advance and students will be notified by phone and/or email. 

Class may also be cancelled for inclement weather or instructor illness. Students will be notified by phone if this happens and can attend the rescheduled class or have their class fee returned 100%.

Refund Policy for LYS Classes 

If you need to return your class enrollment for a refund for any reason, we completely understand! Sometimes things pop up and life gets in the way of our crafting. 

See the time table below for eligible refunds on LYS classes: 

• At least 72 hours prior notice — 100% refund 

• 24 - 72 hours prior notice — 50% refund for store credit 

• Less than 24 hours prior notice — Not eligible for a refund. 

Student no-shows are also not eligible for a refund.
