Fiber Friday: Stranded Knitting: Unlocking the Secrets of Locked Floats (ZOOM)W/Kyle Kunnecke
The technique is simple and creates a wonderfully even fabric. In this class, we will first review how to carry floats across the back of the work (traditional) and then be introduced to this simple technique that results in a beautifully woven "wrong side." You will learn some valuable tricks and leave inspired by the possibilities created.
Materials Needed for the Class:
** One skein each of 2 colors of worsted-weight yarn (solid color wool yarns with high contrast work best).
** Circular Needle appropriate to size of yarn. Have some different sizes in case you need it.
** Note taking pad and pen
** And of course your knitting bag filled with its usual treasures.
** Be sure yarn is wound and ready to use.
HOMEWORK: With darker yarn, CO 40 sts. Row1: Purl, Row 2: Knit, Row 3: Purl and you are ready for the class!

Cancellation Policy for LYS Classes
DISCLAIMER: Class may be cancelled if less than 3 students are enrolled.
If LYS cancels the class, payment for your class will be refunded in full or can be transferred to another upcoming class. If we do need to cancel your class for low enrollment, the decision will be made 24 hours in advance and students will be notified by phone and/or email.
Class may also be cancelled for inclement weather or instructor illness. Students will be notified by phone if this happens and can attend the rescheduled class or have their class fee returned 100%.
Refund Policy for LYS Classes
If you need to return your class enrollment for a refund for any reason, we completely understand! Sometimes things pop up and life gets in the way of our crafting.

24 - 72 hours prior notice — 50% refund for store credit

Less than 24 hours prior notice — Not eligible for a refund.
Student no-shows are also not eligible for a refund.

| Instructor Bio: | Kyle Kunnecke lives in Tacoma, WA, where he enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, while pursuing his career in the fiber arts. His studio is home to many treasures, including spinning wheels, knitting machines, and dyeing equipment, where he spends countless hours developing new projects and techniques. When time and schedule permit, he also leads workshops and classes online, and at events around the country, sometimes around the world. He has a not-so-secret passion for colorwork. Through his fiber workshops, he provides inspiration to his students, exploring the skills necessary to continue their personal knitting journeys.
