Basic Knitted Socks - Top Down (In Person)

Materials - please obtain all prior to class at Longmont Yarn Shoppe
Yarn and Needles- You can choose between fingering/sock wt yarn (as shown in the photo) or DK/sport wt yarn. If you have never used fingering wt yarn before you might want to start with a heavier wt of yarn. Also light color yarn is best, especially if this is your first experience using fingering wt yarn.
Sock/fingering wt - 400 yards or more and a set of Double Point Needles size 1 or 1.5 US OR if you would like to learn Magic Loop, bring a 40 inch circular needle. Sock yarn suggested: Malabrigo Sock, Malabrigo Ultimate Sock, Signature 4-Ply Sock
Sport or DK wt - 225 yards or more and a set of Double Point Needles size 3 US or if you would like to learn Magic Loop bring a 40 inch circular needle.
We suggest a light colored yarn for learning.
Pattern - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic-sock-3
Notions - Stitch Markers, Tapestry Needle
