Granny Square Blanket via Zoom



Nostalgic and modern. Kitschy and sophisticated. The beloved granny square is the perfect excuse to play with color. You can make one giant square or several small squares to make a fun blanket!  In this class we will learn how to make the traditional Granny Square using either multiple yarns or self-striping yarn.

Materials Needed:

One Big Granny Square by Churchmouse Yarns on Ravelry
Size “I” Hook
Darning needle and Scissors
Locking stitch marker (optional)

Yarn suggestions: for self-striping effect: Noro Silk Garden or Noro Ito or Topaz by Berroco
Solid or Tonal suggestions: Berroco Ultra WoolMalabrigo Rios
Total yardage will vary (depends on how big the student wants the final project to be.)
Pen and paper to take notes.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: This is an advanced beginner class, students must know how to chain, double crochet, and slip stitch. You will learn how to make a granny square and how to change colors.
