Cabled Wine Covers (in-person)
Learn cables by making a wine bottle cover, just in time for the Holidays! Learn a simple cable pattern and create a quick holiday gift at the same time! Students will learn to use a cable needle to create one or two simple cable patterns. As a bonus you will learn Mattress Stitch to seam your beautiful cozy!
Materials Needed:
Pattern - Cable Knit Wine Cozy on Ravelry
Yarn - Worsted wt yarn -suggest Ultra Wool, Malabrigo Rios
Needles - US 7 straight or circular needle - the project is knit flat and seamed
Notions- Tapestry needle, cable needle, stitch markers - a variety of cable needles are available to experiment with at class.
HOMEWORK before first class. Cast on and knit the first 5 inches of ribbing so you are ready to cable at the start of class!
