Learn to Put a Zipper in Any Sweater!
Complete a vest and then learn how to put in a zipper! Student will learn both hand basting and machine sewing approaches to complete any sweater with a zipper.
Session 1- Start Vest
Session 2- Work on project and address any issues
Session 3- Put in zipper
Materials List - please obtain all materials before class and complete homework.
Pattern- Oregon Vest on Ravelry
24 inch separating zipper
knitting needles (size needed to get gauge)
locking stitch markers
tapestry needle
T-pins
This pattern allows for different wt yarns.
If you choose worsted recommended yarn is Shepherds Wool, Ultra Wool
If you choose Bulky recommended yarn is Ultra Wool Chunky or Cocoon
HOMEWORK: Complete a 5 X 5 inch Gauge swatch and lightly block

| Skill Details: | Student should know how to knit, purl, bind off, cast on and be able to keep up with pace of class to be sure to be ready to insert zipper at last session. |
