Simple Fair Isle Cowl to Steek
Complete a Fair Isle style cowl and learn how to steek for a buttoned closure. Lean how to complete stranded knitting using 2 hands and then learn how to steek, finishing touches for your steek and add a button band. Will make a great gift for yourself or a friend!
This is a 3 session class
Session 1- Cast on and learn 2 handed knitting
Session 2 - Knit and trouble shoot questions
Session 3 - Steek and pick up for button band and button holes.
Materials:
Free Pattern- Awakening Cowl on Ravelry
Yarn- various colors of fingering, sport or DK wt yarn. Suggested yarns are: Rowan Felted Tweed, Teanie Weanie Wool, or Andorra.
Crochet hook, waste yarn, buttons, tapestry needle.
HOMEWORK:
Obtain the pattern and have colorwork yarn and contrasting color determined before class begins. Complete entire ribbing section prior to class. The suggested cast on is a Cable Cast On suggested video: Cable Cast On Video
