Thalassophile Knit-A-Long via ZOOM!

We are so excited to host a KAL with designer Alissa Barton, the Knitting Fairy and Jennifer Miller of Theodora's Pearls!  This is an incredible opportunity to make an amazing shawl for the upcoming summer months!  Bonus for you besides the KAL, you can tap into weekly videos on Thalassophile techniques every Friday in May starting May 1st by subscribing to Alissa's Patreon Site at the Follow Level, which is complimentary.

Materials:
Thalassophile Pattern on Ravelry
US 7 - 32 inch circular needle
1 -2 skeins of Theodora's Pearls Auxanometer depending on the size you choose.  You can use 2 complimentary colors or 1 color for the larger shawl, or 1 skein for the shawlette size.
Stitch Markers- about 12

Schedule:
May 1 - Cast On and meet the designer, Alissa, who will share about her inspiration for the project and her upcoming designs.
May 8 - Check in and meet the dyer, Jennifer, who will talk about her inspiration for the colors she creates.
May 29 - Show and Tell - we can't wait to see what you've created!  2 lucky participants who complete their shawl will be selected by random drawing to have access to 3 months of Alissa's Patreon Site, at the Fairy Journal level, and 2 lucky winners will be gifted with 1 skein each of Theodora's Pearls Auxanometer in the color of their choice!  If you are already a member of the Patreon Site you will be gifted with 30.00 in LYS Bandit Bucks to use for the LYS purchase of your choice!

Message from Alissa:  What is a KAL? It's a Knit Along, something we can do together while we remain apart. I have just revisited a shawl I designed years  ago for one of my stash crash clubs, Thalassophile.  The reimagined version uses Theodora's Pearls Auxanometer 100% bamboo yarn.  Each skein has approximately 400 yds/115g, making it a heavy fingering/sport weight yarn.  I have expanded the instructions so that you can now make a larger shawl. I left all the information in for a smaller shawl in the pattern.  In the photo the sample shown is knit in two colors, but you could easily make it a solid color with two skeins.  During the KAL, I will be knitting it again with you, this time I am using a gradient set!  I am super excited to see how that works up.
