2 Strings = Not Scary FIBER FRIDAYS with Mary Scott Huff via ZOOM!

In this introduction to stranded colorwork, we will learn the basic moves for handling two strands at the same time, and what is special about the construction of stranded colorwork.  We will practice stranding by swatching in class, then begin a stranded colorwork hat pattern.  No stranded knitting experience is necessary!

An introduction to stranded colorwork knitting with stranded colorwork expert Mary Scott Huff. This class includes free class pattern.  The class exercise in worsted will prepare you to knit the free pattern, which calls for sport/DK.

Materials needed for class:

2 contrasting colors of smooth (non-novelty) worsted-weight 100% wool and needles to match. There is no need to swatch before class.

Needles for the optional class project Forest for the Trees -  US 3 and 4 - 16 inch circular needle, and size 4 DPNs or size needed to achieve gauge which is 24 sts and 32 rows in stockinette stitch.
