Rhode Trip Cable Hat (in person)
Come learn how to knit cables with us where we will make this great hat! Sized for newborn through adult, this pattern will work for any head you want to keep warm. In class we will discuss the basics of cables, reading the pattern both written and in a chart, cable needles, and any other questions you may have to get you on your way to creating this beautiful style of knitted fabric.
Materials:
- Worsted wt yarn in a solid or mostly solid color such as Woolstok by Blue Sky Fibers (one 50 gm skein will do it!) Berroco Ultra Wool or Sun Valley Fibers 100% Merino Superwash or Woolstok by Blue Sky Fibers (choosing lighter colors will show off your cable pattern the best)
- 16" circular needle and Double Pointed Needles, OR long circular needle for magic loop- size US 8
- Cable Needle
- Stitch Markers
- Row counter or some way to keep track of where you are in the pattern.
- Bring pattern to class Rhode Trip Hat - this is a free download on Ravelry
Homework:
- Choose your hat size and knit the ribbing as written in the pattern
