Sweater Seaming with Ann Budd VIA ZOOM!
June 23rd, 2023

Because they don't like sewing seams, many knitters only knit seamless sweaters. What many don’t realize is that seams can be a sweater’s best friend. They provide stability against stretching (especially across the shoulders and back neck) and they help encourage the body to hang straight.

This is a Live One Time Zoom event at 6 Eastern, 5 Central, 4 Mountain, 3 Pacific. This class is recorded and you can access the recording for 1 week after the class.

How it Works

"The class worked really well over Zoom. Stephanie did a great job of demonstrating the techniques needed, and had two cameras going so we could see her face and her hands while she was teaching. It was nice to interact with the other class members, too." - Cheryl A.

About Online Classes with Longmont Yarn Shoppe

We have identified a number of classes that lend themselves to being offered in a virtual classroom via Zoom.

Knitting Classes and KALs via ZOOM

Tapestry Weaving via ZOOM

Our teachers are very knowledgeable and experienced in the topic they are teaching, and will be using 2 cameras for all classes (there may not be 2 cameras for KALs and CALS) so you can not only see and hear them, they can also demonstrate what they are teaching as well.  Supplies must be shipped in advance of the class so please plan accordingly.

We recommend all students use a device larger than a phone to be able to see what is being taught.

We stand behind our programs. If you try online learning and decide it isn’t a fit, we will refund 100% of your class fee, or it can be transferred to an in-store class once we are open to the public again.

We do ask that you use yarn and products from LYS for our Knit/Crochet-A-Longs and our classes.

There are 2 reasons for this:

  1. We recommend yarn we know you will have success with. Learning a new skill is much more rewarding using the proper tools and resources. When students use materials other than what is suggested we can't assure your success.
  2.   Frankly, we exist only with your support. We need our community to shop with us so we can be here for the long haul. We bring in additional inventory to support classes, in anticipation of student purchases.
