Irish Tweed: History - Tradition - Fashion

‘To be human is to be involved with cloth.’

Irish Tweed explores the history, the traditions, the patterns,

the fashions and the legacy of Ireland’s distinctive, natural woven fabric.

Arising from ancient woven traditions of
brat (cloak), léine (tunic), linen and poplin, tweed has evolved and reinvented itself many times to weave its beautiful lasting way into our future fashions and psyche.
