The strength of a mountain, with it’s wide base, is forever standing. The peak, the summit, gives the ultimate view of its surroundings. Thinking of ourselves as mountains should be easy. We all want to be strong individuals. We should strive to see ourselves as ready for strong winds, heavy snow, and to give others the ability to see the world from our view. Give yourself a chance for inspiration. Show others you are strong and have a rich vista in life.
You’ll begin with a garter tab, knitting flat and using increases to make your mountain. Then, joining in the round to continue to build your cowl. Next, making your reflection in a reverse fashion and ending with a minimal cast off.
Reflect the Mountain will offer a new twist on the tubular cowl and give you a chance to strengthen your ideas of knitting. With its deceivingly simple design, you’ll be able to knit nearly mindlessly. You’ll want to make one in every color.
Finished Size:
14 inches wide x 33 inches long from point to point.
Needles and Notions (not included in kit):
24-32 inch circular needle, US# 4.
2-3 stitch markers
Cable needle or DPN size US#4
Tapestry needle to weave in ends
