The Island and the Forest: A Knitted Correspondence
In this Chat, Erika Åberg and Lotta H Löthgren will explore the ins and outs of their unique new book, The Island and the Forest.
The Island and the Forest is a correspondence book told through letters and knitwear patterns. Its chapters move through the four elements—earth, water, fire, and air—while following the shifting seasons and the rhythms of the natural world.
Erika and Lotta will present each of the garments from the book, share the inspiration behind them, and reflect on the process of creating a book together—from the exchange of letters to the landscapes that shaped their designs, and the friendship that grew between the patterns and the pages. Register now to spend an hour immersed in Lotta and Erika’s creative journey!
