Jatoba Turkish Drop Spindle by Scotts Mountain Crafts

Jatoba is a nice heavy strong wood and gets it's nickname Brazilian Cherry from the color it has that looks like finished cherry. This is a multiple item listing and spindles have a weight of between 47 and 55 grams, a 5" diameter whorl and is on a 5/16 8 3/4" long hardwood shaft. All my items these have been tested by the maker's wife who is an avid spinner and knitter. Fiber not included. 

These items are hand made from natural wood - wood has it's own grain and colorations. The maker hand sands each item with several different grits of sandpaper. Finally, each item receives hand applied finishes and then they are air dried on a non-stick surface, to bring out the beauty of the wood and designs.
