Fading Memories Limited Edition Colorway for 2025 by Alexandra the Art of Yarn

Fading Memories Limited Edition Colorway for 2025, by Alexandra The Art of Yarn

Diamond (and it is a gem!) is a luxurious fingering-weight base that's a blend of 80% superwash Merino and 20% silk. Each 100g skein contains 437 yards (400 meters).

LIMITED EDITION Colorway for The Longest Day 2025! The yarn was specially dyed in a continuous gradient of the Alzheimer Association's colors of teal ending with pale grey. The color shifts represent how those afflicted with the disease turn into ghosts of their former selves.  This colorway can be used with the 2025 Longest Day Cowl (knitted or crocheted).

The Longest Day 2025

The 2025 Longest Day campaign is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) as an annual fundraiser that takes place in conjunction with the summer solstice. Through your purchase, a generous donation will go to Team Ann Budd as she champions her annual campaign to raise funds to support research for Alzheimer’s disease. For every pattern sold during the 2025 campaign, $5 will be donated to Alzheimer’s research. For every skein of yarn sold during the 2025 campaign, $10 will be donated to Alzheimer's research.

Fading Memories Cowl 2025, designed by Ann Budd (knit version)

The stitch pattern consists of expanding cables separated by eyelet lace that, to Ann, represents convoluted memories and lost awareness. She chose a teal-to-gray gradient to represent how those afflicted with Alzheimer’s become ghosts of their formerly vibrant selves. Both row-by-row and charted instructions are provided. You can get Ann’s pattern on Ravelry or on her website.

Fading Memories Crochet Cowl 2025, designed by Dianna Judge

There is a crochet cowl option so no one is left out in the search for treatment and a cure for Alzheimer’s!  The crochet pattern is designed by Dianna Judge can be obtained on Ravelry.
