Esther's Box of Hope 2024
Esther is the spinning supervisor at Handspun Hope. She was found abandoned on a bridge when she was a baby. She knows nothing about her birth family. Esther was adopted into a family when she was an infant and was able to attend school through the elementary levels. Esther believes that the communal support found at Handspun Hope can provide her with the feeling of having a family. She is looking forward to healing the wounds left from her abandonment.
“I feel happy when I know someone loves me. I am a single parent and I want to help my child continue to study.”
Included in Esther's Box you will find:
- 1 skein of Handspun Hope Merino Worsted
- A hat pattern perfect for this yarn, designed by Sarah Solomon!
- 1 gorgeous skein of handspun Ethiopian Cotton yarn dyed naturally by the women of Handspun Hope with plant dyes sourced in Rwanda.
- A textured washcloth pattern with 3 options, designed by Gail Sundberg-Douse, perfectly paired with the handspun cotton.
- A delightful felted ornament crafted lovingly by members at Handspun Hope
- A special Katinge Project Bag
- Some delicious salt caramels and Tea Spot Tea to savor as you knit!
And a special invitation to meet both Sarah Solomon, our 2024 designer and Diana Wiley, the founder of Handspun Hope at our April 29th Zoom gathering. This will be recorded.
Don't miss out on something so meaningful, making a difference to the lives of these women.
