Join Faina Goberstein, a long-time designer, for this in-depth exploration of slip-stitch patterns and the beauty they can add to your knitting. Get inspired to use more of the various slip-stitch combinations that will enrich your knitting skills and add another dimension to your creativity. Faina has classified slip-stitches into 4 different groups: Traditional, Woven, Reversible and Combination. She will describe each type and share numerous swatches that represent endless possibilities! There will also be a demonstration of a slip-stitch tuck and you can choose to work along if you’d like – Homework: Cast on 10 stitches with any size needle and yarn appropriate for that needle, purl one row, knit one row and purl one row. BIO: 
A knitter, teacher, author, and long-time designer, Faina Goberstein fell in love with knitting from the time she made a first knit stitch as a child. Knitting has been tightly entwined with anything that she encountered in her life. Most of all she enjoys the process of creating a beautiful and interesting texture that is later applied to a design in most flattering way.
Faina’s interest in a wide assortment of knitting techniques and stitch patterns that lead to unusual and interesting textures is evident in her designs and topics of her inspirational classes.
Faina is the author of Fresh Slipstitch (Ravelry.com) and the co-author of The Art of Slip Stitch Knitting (2015) and The Art of Seamless Knitting (2013) published by Interweave Press. Her designs often appear in internationally recognized magazines such as Rowan, Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Cast-On and in numerous books. Faina is best known for her elegant and well-fitted classic designs.
Faina teaches live at various events around the country and abroad, virtually for Vogue Knitting, Rowan Connect, guilds, and other venues. She has many online classes for sale on Interweave.com and Craftsy.com.
