Tips for Linen Yarn

Blocking: Fill a bowl/bucket with water; submerge your swatch or garment and squeeze lightly until there are no bubbles. Do not soak. Remove swatch/garment from water and squeeze as much water out of it as you can. Roll in a towel and press (don’t twist) to remove excess water. Stretch it aggressively, then lay flat and straighten the sides (if there are) using blocking wires. Keep the wires intact and let it dry completely.

Needles: If you feel the yarn is too slippery to handle, using wooden or bamboo needles.

Join new balls: Use the Russian Join or the Magic Knot method.
