Weft Faced Weaving on the Rigid Heddle Loom via ZOOM
Let your weft yarn be the star, create cloth reminiscent of tapestry weaving on your rigid heddle loom! In this class students will weave a variety of weft faced color and weave patterns as well as clasped weft designs. Students can decide to create a series of mug rugs or a classic sampler!
Materials needed:
Rigid Heddle Loom with a 10 inch weaving width (or more), 2 stick shuttles, 8 Dent Reed.
Warp: 1 skein Mojave
Weft: 3 colors of worsted weight wool Shepherd's Wool or Scout (they can be mixed)
Students will definitely want to have two colors for the weft but three would be better.
